BLOOD PLAGUE TACTICS

Plague Heart Playbook

The Heart is not the dangerous part. The dangerous part is staying in the building after the Heart tells the entire neighborhood where you are.

Universal Heart rules
  1. Clear or identify your exit before the first hit.
  2. Park the escape vehicle where you can reach it without crossing the Heart room.
  3. Bring stamina. A survivor who cannot sprint or dodge is already in trouble.
  4. Carry cure on Nightmare and Lethal unless you have a specific reason not to.
  5. Deal damage in controlled phases. When the Heart reacts, disengage.
  6. On Lethal, the zombies do not simply vanish when the Heart dies. Plan the escape after the kill too.
SIX APPROACHES

Pick your method

Powerhouse Heavy Melee

The resource-efficient high-skill method. Use a high-impact heavy weapon, strong stamina support and disciplined phase timing.

Best: Powerhouse + Discipline + Endurance

C4 Phase Assault

Expensive, clean and reliable when you can plant, get clear, detonate, let the reaction resolve and repeat.

Best: dangerous layouts

Bloater Gas Ignition

A specialized high-damage combo. Ignite a Bloater Cloud with fire and give each damage cycle time to register.

Best: prepared communities

High-Capacity Rifle

When subtlety is over, a 7.62 rifle with a brake can burn a Heart down quickly. The price is noise and ammunition.

Best: ammo-rich runs

Fire Economy

Fuel Bombs and other incendiaries can be easier to replace than premium explosives. The real cost is time near an active Heart.

Best: resource-conscious runs

Drone Strike

A powerful opening hit when the marker can be placed correctly. On Lethal, treat it as an opening rather than an automatic victory.

Best: technical approach
LETHAL ROUTINE

Do this every time

Scout

Know the room, windows and exact escape route.

Stage the vehicle

Face it toward your exit and keep it away from the worst spawn pile.

Start the damage cycle

Use the method you brought. Do not improvise a brand-new strategy after the Heart phases.

Control the adds

Fire, doors, terrain and sprinting are tools. You do not need to kill every infected.

Kill the feral first

A plague feral can turn a controlled Heart fight into a death spiral.

Leave when the math turns bad

Heart damage persists. There is no bonus for dying while trying to finish it in one trip.

BLACK HEART

Different rules.
Different plan.

A Black Heart should not be treated like a normal Heart with more health. Complete the investigation, learn its weakness, then build the assault around that weakness.

  • Do not dump resources before learning the weakness.
  • Bring more cure and stamina than a normal Heart run.
  • Use outposts and vehicles as staging points.
  • Treat loss of mobility as the primary threat.
